Hard reline
A hard reline uses rigid denture-base material to create a new fitting surface. It is the usual option when the denture is otherwise sound and the underlying tissues can comfortably support a firm base.
Repairs & relines
Need denture repairs without travelling to a clinic? Call 0413 490 639. We collect the denture from your home, retirement village or aged-care facility, complete suitable repairs in our own laboratory and return it by arrangement.
First aid for a broken denture
Keep every piece, including small fragments, and place everything in a clean zip-lock bag. A clean break with all pieces present is usually easier to assess than a denture that has been glued, trimmed or worn after breaking.
Do not use superglue or a household repair kit. Glue can contaminate the acrylic, prevent repair material from bonding properly and lock the fracture in the wrong position. Sharp or loose pieces can also cut the mouth or create a choking risk.
Pickup and return
Our pickup-and-return service is designed to keep things straightforward when travelling without teeth would be difficult.
A loose denture
Dentures do not stretch. The jaw and gum tissues change beneath them, so a denture that once fitted well can begin to rock, trap food, rub or need increasing amounts of adhesive. A reline replaces the fitting surface while keeping the existing denture.
A hard reline uses rigid denture-base material to create a new fitting surface. It is the usual option when the denture is otherwise sound and the underlying tissues can comfortably support a firm base.
A soft reline uses a more forgiving lining for tender or heavily resorbed ridges. It may improve comfort but generally requires more maintenance and more frequent replacement than a hard reline.
Signs to request a fit check: increasing adhesive use, food beneath the plate, rubbing sores, clicking, rocking or movement when chewing.
Fix the cause
If a denture keeps breaking in the same place, the acrylic may be flexing because the base no longer sits evenly on the gum. In that situation another repair may only treat the symptom. A reline or, for an older denture, a remake may provide a more durable result.

Where we collect
We cover Castlecrag, Willoughby, Chatswood, Northbridge, Naremburn, Artarmon, Lane Cove, Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, St Leonards and surrounding suburbs.
Outside these suburbs? Call anyway. We will confirm whether collection and return are practical before arranging the service.
Common questions
Most acrylic dentures can be assessed for repair, including clean fractures. Chrome frameworks and many flexible nylon dentures are more limited, so we explain the realistic options before work begins.
Turnaround depends on the fracture, replacement parts and collection route. Call with a description of the damage and your suburb, and we will provide the most accurate available timing before making arrangements.
Often we can narrow it down from a description or clear photograph. Keep every piece and call before attempting any temporary repair.
Yes. We can arrange collection and return through a family member, carer or facility staff member when that is more practical.
There is no fixed interval because mouths change at different rates. Request a fit check when the denture begins to move, rub, trap food or rely on more adhesive.
