When the dentures are loose and unstable it is due to considerable bone and gum resorption (can occur over time or due to recent extraction/s). Consultation with the Dental Prosthetist needs to take place before any suitable action is taken to remedy the loose dentures. Things like the age of the dentures and the likely benefit that the reline will bring are determined at the consultation. At times the reline will not give a satisfactory outcome and at times a fabrication of new dentures may be the most suitable treatment plan. All will be discussed and explained at the consultation appointment with the Dental Prosthetist, and from that the patient can have an informed decision on how to proceed.
An appointment is required to determine the nature of the work required. At this point the patient will be informed of the cost and the time frame to completion.
